Event Information

  1. What is H.A.T. Incubator?

A hackathon-like event organised by CGH, which sees participants tasked with solving real-world problems raised by our clinicians.

Teams of students, clinicians, data analysts and tech partners are formed and given a day to brainstorm and come up with solutions, with the finalists eventually going on to present their project at our annual conference, H.A.T. Day.

  1. When and where is the event?

The event will be held on 27 October 2026 at SMU Connexion Level 5 Event Square, Singapore 178908.

  1. Is this an in-person or online event?

The Incubator is fully in-person. Further details will be shared upon registration confirmation.


Eligibility

  1. Who can participate?

Incubator is open to anyone above 16 years old.

Teams

  1. How many members can a team have?

Each team can have a maximum of 5 members.

  1. Can my team members be from different schools?

Yes, cross-institution teams are allowed and encouraged.

  1. Can I participate as an individual?

Yes, you may register as an individual and we will help match you with a team before the event.

  1. Can we start working on our project before the hackathon?

There will be 2 briefing sessions before the actual day for the project lead to explain the project details to the participants. You may do background research and brainstorming beforehand, but all building and development must take place during the Incubator day

Registration

  1. How do I register?

Register via our official event page at Incubator 2026. If registering as a team: One team member should register on behalf of the entire team and provide all members' details.

  1. What is the registration deadline?

Registration closes on 21 August 2026. Late registrations can be considered, but subject to availability.

  1. Is there a registration fee?

Participation is free of charge.

  1. How will I know if my registration is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation email at the address provided during registration. If you do not receive a confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us at hat@cgh.com.sg.

Incubator Details

  1. What is the theme or problem statement?

Problem statements will be indicated in the registration form. Please refer to our incubator registration link. (opens in new tab)

  1. What should my team build?

Teams are expected to come up with a proof of concept that addresses the given problem statement.

  1. Are there any restrictions on the tools or technologies we can use?

There are no restrictions on programming languages, frameworks, or tools. However, some projects will require participants to use tools provided by our sponsors.

  1. Will there be mentors available during the hackathon?

Yes, mentors from industry, clinical leads and CGH data analysts will be available throughout the hackathon to provide guidance on the technical development, problem framing, pitching, etc.
